Weed Patch at Thee Parkside, Sept 14

Shortly after becoming a daddy, latent rock star Neal Weiss realized it was now or never.
A music journalist by trade, Weiss was sick and tired of writing about music and decided to dust off his adolescent rock star fantasy, which he'd shelved more than a decade earlier, put down the pen and pick up the guitar (oh, and the mic).

Weiss and his band, Weed Patch, released their first CD this year, Maybe The Brakes Will Fail (Ohgrowupalready Records), 12 "fucked up folk" tracks—hey that's his description but it's absolutely perfect—penned by a 30something taking stock of his life and weighing his accomplishments against his shortcomings and the joys against the disappointments.
